Can Barnes take over PBA Title Lead?
« on: March 25, 2009, 01:55:21 AM »
Everyone knows how well Barnes has been bowling lately. He has seemed to lose the TV intimidation and can win regularly. With that being said, Chris has about 10-15 more years to go. Do you think he can pass Walter?

Wes Malott - Get him out of his comfort zone - he's done. Next week's US Open will be good example.

Again correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't he make the show at the open a few years back? It was the show where Jeff Carter finished second to PDW I think. I think he can handle it.

actually wes finnished 2nd but his ball reaction was aweful and by watching that you can see he is outside of his comfort zone with a sketchy ball reaction he seems to need help from the pattern

Everybodies ball reaction looks awful on the US Open shot. It is the hardest shot used on tour, I wouldn't expect anyone to line up incredibly well on it. I don't think you can get help from the pattern there.

So he was outside of his comfort zone, and finished second for the week at a major?  Ha. Just making the TV finals kind of says you aren't too far out of your comfort zone.

Didn't he get caught cheating with the nanny at one point? Correct me if I am wrong, but thats what I heard from a few guys on tour. As far as the question of him catching WRW Jr., not a chance.

Excuse me but why would you say anything?  As far as correct me if I am wrong... Grow up unless you have actual proof IMHO you have no business spreading rumors about anyone.  Is this what this site is coming to... no wonder why in the last year 1 1/2 years that I have been visiting this site that you see fewer and fewer people on the site.  Rant off.

Now as too the question, the only two bowlers I see that have any chance of catching WRW are Norm Duke (would have too win 3-4 tournaments/year IMO to catch him) and Chris Barnes (this would be an outside shot but Chris definitely has the talent, whether he can start stringing wins is the big question.
