Illegal balls..as of..feb 1st
« on: January 11, 2005, 01:11:53 AM »
Surprised no-one has hit on this topic yet...

what's "ANYBALL COMPANIES" take...(know of two for sure and posted same topic in their threads)........since they are one of the companies selling them...i.e...rg's over .6o..as specified in nov.04?????

Bowler's have any re-course?

What about pro-shops?

Back in 70's when hardness issue came up..ball companies selling 65 and legal was 72...the companies just quit selling them....but said..."get-lost" to people who just happened to purchase one in the month preceding????

The thing is, Anything made before the date of the rule will be grandfathered and will not be "illegal"

OK , If USBC changes this rule from 0.80 to 0.60 all it will do is make all balls more alike. If they start doing this we might as well go back to pancake blocks and start checking for hardness again.

Whats the big deal with having a ball with a high RG or low RG.
We don't want all bowling balls to be equal.

If all balls where made to be Equal we would only have maybe 3-4 ball companies. and there would be no reason for a new ball.

Roto Grip SD73, SD73 Ltd. Ed., Def Con II
AZO Fantasy X, Reactive and Particle

Do people think used ball prices for the high-diff older balls will increase?

TA DA!!

And, just maybe, it would once more get down to the bowler, not the ball.  Hopefully this will start a trend that will end with the elimination of the snow tire ball.

Or check lane condition after a honor score. They don't do that anymore. My guess is that if they did there would be too many mad people because their honor scores were disallowed.
