? about polish

 hey guys i throw only track nothing against other brands track just works for me and if it aint broke dont fix it lol. But what i want to know is if there if much dif between magic shine and factory finish poilsh? Any insite would be helpful beacuse i have a friend that swares its tacker and it makes his stuff jump faster off the spot than factory finish poilsh.

I'll pass on some information that was given to me a few months back: Magic Shine is a gritless polish where as Factory Finish (I assume you're talking about the Powerhouse brand) has a small amount of grit to polish the underlying surface down a little more. Starting at the same underlying grit (i.e., 4000 Abralon) Magic Shine will have a stronger motion because there's still more surface underneath. Factory Finish will be a weaker motion due to the fact that there's smaller peaks and valleys underneath the polish.
 
That's what I understood anyway. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

The Power House Factory Finish having grit in it surprises me a bit because everything I have read in the past about it here on BR always says it is a gritless polish as is Valentino's Snake Oil. True it is gritless or has grit, I have no clue, as I am just going by what I read/have read on here BR.

technically every polish has grit in it or it wouldn't polish and shine your ball. The question is how much and how aggressive is the grit.
 
As far as I know, Powerhouse Factory Finish is equivalent to Lanemasters Factory Finish and to Snake oil in that they affect the underlying grit level very little.
 
As far as the original poster is concerned,many other factors can affect his friend's having more backend on his balls starting with his release, rev rate, tilt, rotation, and ball speed, then the finish and the drilling on his balls. To say that the polish is the only difference is dangerously ignoring so many other potential factors.
