Have you ever decided to NOT throw a product b/c of the ball rep?

I have recently decided that I will not ever purchase a particular ball company b/c of a member they have on staff.  I realize there are emotions and people have good and bad days but this companys (amatuer) staff has a terrible attitude on and off the lanes.  It bothered me enough that I actually emailed the man in charge of this company, who quickly responded with an apology and the matter would be handled.  Well, at a tourney this past weekend, same BS and therefore my personal decision.  Anyone on staff ever turn you off to that point?

there is a guy in my town who reps track/columbia..not sure bout the other 2(hammer/ebo)
 
he let a local guy try a world beater, guy loved the ball... he went to "his prefered" proshop and bought the ball.. next week he went to tell the guy how great the ball is working for him, guy was MAD because he didnt buy from our local proshop(which is where the rep guy gets stuff drilled...) i mean the guy was MAD MAD bout not buying from this proshop!! LOL
 
sad but true story!!
 
i would have sent an email to columbia bout this guy.......

I don't like hearing stories like this but I've seen it as well.  On/off the lanes, on here, in my shop I try to be very mindful and helpful.  I've seen a few staffers, reps with the attitudes described above and it drives me nuts.  I've run into a similar situation from the guy above about making a ball suggestion to someone, (715T in my case).  Talked back and forth with this guy for around a week and he shows up to league with one from another shop.  I just asked him how he liked it and made a few suggestions about surface if he didn't like the oob finish but you can't get mad about that.  Usually guys like that don't stay around long anyway.

ummm cant say i've run into anyone who's a Storm Rep in my area lol........ 

 

But I cant say i would choose to stop using Storm if some amatuer staffer from storm was causing a bunch of BS or acting like a fool...... 

 

not to start a flame war, but it's like saying well Chris Barnes chokes when he is on TV, so I'm not going to use Columbia........    

 

I mean I would be more in line to send a email to the company about said bowler if he was being a dick-hole..  and let them know about it...
