Some of the competition was really strong.  However, overall not strong enough to shadow my crappy outings.

To this day it was the only tournament that I withdrew from.  It was a keystone tournament and a JOG qualifer.  For the first 2 games I shot 525 and was feeling pretty good about my ball reaction and my release so I was waiting for the other pair to finish and i put my ball down inbetween 2 chairs so my lane could empty out.  A dumb kid in the lower division ran by and knocked my ball over and i went to catch it.  I learned that day that bowling balls can bounce. the ball sandwiched my ring finger in between the chair and the ball on the way up.  So I sit down until my head stops spinning then it is my turn to bowl so I went into my bowling bag took 2 asprin and cringed.  My grips at the time were yellow and orange.  My ring finger was gushing blood it turned my yellow grip to brown.  I shoot 130 the next game i left almost 8 ten pins that game and only picked up one or 2 lol.


I will admit because I was trying even hurt and I had no chance to come back I withdrew my finger swelled up even more so i could not put it in.  

When I went to the tournament desk after the 3rd game to turn in the sheet so they could update the scores after each game I did not even notice the tournament director said honey are you okay? I said yea my finger is messed up but I was fine.  I was actually shaking because of the adreneline in my body and the director look at my score and said here she gave me back my entry fee minus the linage and said that hopefully next tournament it would be healed.  

I was more hard on myself over that tournament than any other lose or miss cut because it is like leading the indy 500 for the first 4 hundred laps and then on the 401 lap you wreck and are done.

my mate and I bowl in the summer league. And the first time we bowled we could not find two more bowlers so we took 12th place. the second time we had a full team then two had to pul out because work conflict and we finished in 10th place 2 places better than last year and now this time we have full team an we are in 4th place so this yr is good.
