HD video cameras
« on: November 21, 2012, 09:57:17 PM »
Hello Group,
I'm looking to get a HD video camera for using at bowler centers so I was hoping that someone here could give me some suggestions on a unit that works well under normal operating/lighting conditions at a typical bowler center.

And hopefully one can be had for under $300.oo  8) and one that will come with a  wireless remote, Heres hoping I can find a "Black Friday" super deal!!  Thanks

You may want to talk to whomever you're buying the camera from. They will have a better idea and a price range on the options they have. I have a sony HD that was around 325. Im sure others have a better opinion than I.

I love it. It does an incredible job in any bowling alley setting and can zoom all the way to the pins to the point where I can read the logos and writings on the pins. Battery life is great as well. I can record an entire 3 game set on 5 man teams, twice.

I'm planning on also getting a new camcorder tonight at bestbuy.  They have a Sony CX-190 on sale for $199.99.  Hope this helps.

Re: that Sony on sale at Best Buy.

I don't own one, so maybe that review is not really fair, but notice what it says about the HD - format, not quality.

Well I purchased the Sony camcorder yesterday.  So I might be able to post a short video of me bowling tomorrow if I get some time.  I'll let you know.

Post back what you think of the camera and it's performance.

Well the camcorder is very small and doesn't weight much at all.  The videos were not bad.  Have not adjusted any setting just used right out the box for my first video so I might have to change something to get a better picture.  Below is an unedited video if you want to see.  But for some reason it only uploaded in 360p.  Not sure why.  Dont have much time to figure out.  Once I do i'll upload a better video.
