No difference in abrasive, silicon carbide, but the Siair Velvet seem to last slightly longer and are cheaper to buy. They both use the same grading, FEPA. Siaair seems to come in slightly more grit levels, P240 - P4000 grit.

Here's the manufacturer's description:

Here's one retailer, a woodworking supplier. They come in 5" and 6" sizes:

Even thoe they are the same type of product. I like the Siaair better. Due to the fact they last longer, cheaper, offer more grits, and finish it leaves on the surface of the ball. I have a Haus Machine and Abralon 4000 pads kinda leave the surface of the ball polished, where the Siaair 4000 pads leave the at out of the box look when a ball comes from the company, you kinda has that smooth but dull finish like a NVD. But thats just my opinion

I've used the same 1000 grit SiaAir Brunswick pad since I got it in August. I use these for the customer that comes in and wants a surface adjustment. I imagine I've done about 30 balls with it...

Stop being cheap and change it for g*d's sake, Nick. They're good but they ain't that good. I'd bet that pad ain't at 1000 grit any more.
