Heavy Oil Ball?
« on: May 02, 2004, 09:49:34 PM »
I am having a hard time deciding which ball to pick up next.  I currently have an old Ebonite Predator that I just cleaned with hot water & dawn to get all of the oil out of it, & a Columbia Icon 300, which is almost new.  In my recent findings, the Predator out hooks the Icon 300.  I don't really know how to describe how I throw, or how the balls are drilled, I usually swing the ball from about 18 to around the 10 board, then back into the pocket, but I also use other lines to shoot at.  I have a Lane 1 Cherry Bomb that I love, but need a good heavy oil ball.  I'm not impressed by the Icon 300, and don't trust the Predator, I've been looking at the Lane 1 Super Carbide Bomb, but I would like to get opinoins from others on what a really strong, & good heavy oil ball would be  to pick up.  Any help is gratefull.

toddler95 -- The Super Carbide Bomb is a very good heavy oil ball if you don't mind the high price.  Don't plan to use it on anything less than heavy oil, though, or it will burn out.  --  JohnP

How do the Uranium & Black Cherry Bomb compare, & other equipment as well?

track makes some excellent Heavy oil equipment. the only crevat is you need to know your PAP. that is easy to find.

if you want arcing get the animal, if you want backend get the Unleashed.

the best thing about Tracks equipment is if you want a strong reaction drill it strong. the shells are easy to adjust.

the cores are very strong and can take a few redrillings and still get predicatable recations so you can really loose on these unless you don't like plugs or can't use a ball with Plugs.

If the cash is low you can pick up a midline ball like the Sharp Blade or Silver Streak Particle. the new Alter eago sounds good.

Good luck.

Look at my signature, this should be reason enough to buy this ball.
