Heavy oil solid and Heavy oil pearl
« on: September 15, 2008, 12:41:21 PM »
I need a solid to be above my rapid fire, and a pearl to be above my agent
The arsenal should be
-strong solid
-strong pearl
-agent
-rapid fire
-power groove dry/r

The solid i was thinking on a storm dimension or maybe a roto grip cell, and the pearl a grand illusion, momentum or twisted.
My main concern is that i know that the dimension and the cell are going to be far above the rapid fire but my main concern is that i ean t a pearl much stronger than the agent
If u guys could recomend me another options that would be great
I am a tweener,i throw 16-17 mph 470 rpm

The Dimension should fit nicely above the Rapid Fire, with a drilling maybe 1/2 a notch weaker than whatever you have on the RF.

Strong Pearl:
1. The Grand Illusion & Momentum are not pearls but a polished solids.
2. The Twisted Fury is not really stronger than the Agent or not much stronger, even if you drilled it with a strong mass bias position.

By stronger I mean "handles more oil". For many people, "stronger" means "more backend".
Some stronger than the Agent pearls
- Nsane LevRG (a LOT stronger)
- Black Pearl Reactive
- Gladiator Pearl
- AMB Bronze Centaur
- Complete NV
- Fury Pearl
- Shift (particle pearl)

(Suggestion: This might have been the best forum in which to place this question. Putting it in the Columbia, the Roto-Grip AND the Storm forum may have been overkill. You can delete it from the other three if mine is the only reply you see there.)

For the record, the Momentum is also a polished Solid, not a pearl.  It would fit in that spot though.

I personally think going with the Dimension for your strong Solid is a good choice especially in heavy oil.  The Shift would be my vote to be your strong pearl, if it was my arsenal.

I just wonder, how is your Agent stronger than the Rapid Fire?  From my understanding the Agent is weaker in coverstock but I'm not sure about the core.  Stronger layout?  Is it just the backend since it's pearl and the RF actually handles more oil or the same amount?

A little off topic but you consider 470 RPM a tweener?? That to me would be a cranker.

A Dimension or Cell should work for the strong solid. From what I've seen the Dimension goes a little longer than the Cell and has more backend.

I'll second the Shift for a stronger pearl than your Agent. I also have an Agent and the Shift fits nicely above it. A Gravity Shift might work for that too? Maybe someone who has thrown a Gravity and Agent can compare the two.

Nope.
Yup.

No way he can use a Dimension or Cell with a 500 grit polishing. Shezam!

I was told that you are a cranker if u open the line of your shoulders at the top of the swing, and i dont do that.
But yes i have plenty of hand but i can go pretty straight if its needed
thansk for all the advices.
I think i am going to pick a dimension and i dont
know for sure maybe a cell pearl or maybe a hammer bite i still have a lot of doubts
