But this is what happened this past week. Keep in mind I have been bowling since I was 5 and bowled on my college bowling team.
During practice before league started, I threw my ball and he is in the next lane going "haha nice form bringing your leg out and all like a girl" or something. (Basically my form is like Pete Weber - stand left of center, high backswing, kick my right leg to the left behind my front leg, etc. - basic high rev form). So I am like "haha". This has never happened before. Any real bowler knows my form is pretty damn good and my average speaks for itself. So he keeps going on during practice as I throw another shot. 2 balls and 2 strikes I might add. He then says, "yeah that is over the top, you're such a nerd!". Ok, I am getting pretty pissed now. Keep in mind we are all working in the same damn company and all engineers. It is like a white guy calling another guy white in a condenscending way. I mean how do you respond to that?
So I keep bowling throughout practice and this @$$hole keeps talking s***. I am now trying to ignore him. During league play about 2 more times he kept talking s***. He isn't even bowling against my team. I just start ignoring him and others are looking around and going WTF. They all know me as being in the top 3 for the past 3 years straight with 2 league championships in a row.
So Thursday - YESTERDAY. I see this POS at work right when I arrive. And he goes in again about this s***! I was in the vending area and just walked by ignoring him.
WHAT A F***ER!!!!
What do I do?

It just really pisses me off when dumbf***s diss me about bowling. I have been around it longer than almost everyone my age and most people in their 30's and 40's. I would of rather been called some curse words or told that I smell or something rather than dissing my bowling skills.

Yeah thats what I am thinking about doing. But I will do it in a humble calm way like the first response I have if he talks sh**, which I know he will because he is one of those insecure pricks that bullies others because their own sorry lives are so sh*tty. I will just be like "let's bowl for money" and that's it.
The thing is, is that this guy just joined the league. He has no idea of his place in the league or in bowling in general. He obviously doesn't know anything about me or where I stand in that house. I know the owner there who bowled in the PBA for 5 years and also bowls doubles with me in local tournaments. This guy is just a complete idiot. He is like one of those bugs that you feel sorry for because they aren't even worth the time to stomp out.
I'm a pretty nice guy with bowling and don't take it serious and haven't since college, but this has really stressed me out like nothing else.

I had a coach in juniors, anytime one of the kids would smart off about bowling he'd offer to bowl for 1 dollar per pin. No one ever took him up on it. It seemed to be a pretty quick way to put someone in their place without being a total jerk about it.

It IS next year!
The league average is around 180. I am around 210 so far this year. This guy is around 110 or so. He drinks relatively a lot (as soon as he enters and before the first game starts). He is pretty new it seems. He is a loud mouth at work. He will cuss at his desk and be complaining about customers. Get this: he is involved in customer relations and contracts and scheduling stuff LOL. This one time he cussed a couple of weeks ago where I just laughed in my cubicle silently. Some dude on the phone told him that he was a used car salesman. It was a pretty bad insult since we are an engineering firm. So he said there saying "what the f***, used car salesman? this POS. blah blah blah..." I laughed because that is exactly what he seems.
The other thing I don't get is that this guy is married and like 30 or 40 years old but still acts like some HS bully. He is loud, obnoxious, and at league bowling everyone looks at his way, because he is always yelling or something. The season will definitely be interesting - but maybe not in a good way. Luckily though, I am a nice guy by nature, and refuse to fight anyone unless it is absolutely life threatening.

There is a fight club here in Pittsburgh and can be found at pghfightclub.com. Right now I am focused on bulking up. My goal is to get to around 230-240 and then cut weight. I am definitely not in bowling shape anymore like college when I was 150-160 LOL.

Also, it might depend upon how the other guy is thought of at work. He might be the departments "Golden Boy" and have his name on all the companies patents, be the President's son-in-law or something.

He ranks above me - mostly because of the way engineering is unlike most jobs where seniority rules and not performance. Currently in school getting my MBA to get out of engineering because I can't stand that.
I agree outside activities do affect in-job things. There are lots of favorites seen within the group and company in general. It is such a joke and it did make me mad, but with going to school, I will be out within 2 years. Everyone is underpaid and bonus's are a joke.
I just gotta see what happens next week.

LOL. I am going to take THEICEMAN's advice and see whats up with this guy next week. He had to have bowled that 61 on purpose. The last time I bowled anything under 90 is when I was like 5 years old LOL. I would hate to bet him and then wind up getting a few splits and end up with a 170 game and he gets lucky and strikes like 5 in a row for a 200 game.
And some bowler did that last week. Worst delivery ever (except I don't point it out and mock people) where he just slides the ball down the lane (bad rotation - almost completely perpendicular to the pins) and it doesn't hook and that guy bowled like 2 140's and a 240 where he got 7 in a row. I was just watching and thinking 'wtf'.

we were rolling off with his team for the trophy. but first we had a rollof on a saturday with a diffrent team for the second half winner.
well somehow he showes up and starts to practice next to us dirring our rolloff.. ansy starts in on you better bring your a game to cover our sandbagging the second half...
Let me state that no one in the league likes this guy at all he is a prick..
so on sweeper night for the trophy everyone in the league makes it a point to come over and tell us to kill this guy.. (he was upset..)
I am cleanup and so is he. i procede to whip his but by 100 the first game shot 279 and 65 the second game.. He went into his little corner and cried like a baby..
