The price of new high end bowling equipment has not changed since I started bowling at 13 years old. High range bowling balls (El Nino, Red Wolf) from the mid 90's were $220 drilled. Today's stuff in the same range is $220 drilled.
I don't see any difference in price, just differences in performance.
I guess another difference would be that back in the mid 90's where the El Nino would be a high end "heavy oil" ball, today it would be a mid range ball that would sell for $160 or so.
