haha too lazy to clean my room, and i did just fix the ball that got rid of my 1st problem with the cuts on the inside of my thumb by widening the span by a quarter inch and now i get this, i think its either the grabbing or the size of the thumb hole, the pitch is a possibility as well, we'll see

Bob7 -- The 1/4" was span, not hole size.  That's quite a bit even for span, but not insane.  --  JohnP

From the points at which you are experiencing the injury,
I would seriously look into having your thumb hole a true oval.
The trick I use is you place your fingers in as normal then start your thumb in an mark where your sides contact. Using a 3/4 inch rotary sanding tool in any drill you take out the sides until they allow your entire base of the thumb to contact the surface. This works just as well with slugs or inserts.
Another quick fix is to use selt stick foam with a single piece of plasric tape to prevent the top of the thumb where you have the injuries from contacting the hole surface on the way out.
Obvious: Did you check for tape residue or a burr which may be a brading your skin.
I am not a pro but I had many bloody thumbs and huge blisters before realizing the thumb hole is the key to the consistent release and no injuty bowling.

Good luck!
