Post by: chrischop04 on February 11, 2012, 08:31:24 AM
Just got back into bowling a few weeks back and I am having a prob with my thumb staying in the ball to long making my axis tilt real high and ball speed is a lot higher than it was also. Any tips to help get my thumb out of the ball faster, noticed my span could be a little longer and if I changed pitch could that help any tips would be great

Larger hole, more bevel, shorter span, more reverse pitch all result in quicker thumb release.  Increasing the size of the hole or increasing the bevel are the easiest to try.  --  JohnP
