over under ball
« on: June 08, 2005, 07:06:17 AM »
I have been having a LOT of trouble with over under reactions lately. It's to the point where moving my feet one board either way moves the ball 5 boards from the pocket at the pins. I'm looking for a ball to smooth this out as best as possible. I will greatly appreciate suggestions from any company.

Usually I use my X-factor vertigo now, but my only other option is an arsenal angular and that won't help me much.

The Track Slash is VERY even, true rolling ball. Might be the best benchmark ball on the market today. Check out the reviews and the posts in the Track section. MANY people, not just staffers, are loving this ball!

Instead of spending $$ on a new ball, do what bowlers have done for years now, adjust.

Over/Under reactions are best handled by not swinging the ball out as wide & getting it into a roll sooner. This is usually accomplished by coming up the back of the ball more & reducing side roll. The Vertigo being a matte finish reactive is perfectly capable of perfoming this.

Spend 30 bucks 2 or 3 times with a coach & you'll find that not only have you fixed your over/under problem but your a better bowler for it.

Or you can listen to the multitudes of other people that will inevitably respond to this thread with their favorite flavor of the month ball.

But if you are dead set on buying a ball, get yourself an old sanded urethane with a 2 piece core. Nothing fixes over/under or wet/dry conditions better.
