Ok, maybe I'm not understanding something. So here is some more information
about my current release and a few more questions.
I am a right handed bowler. My "A game" is usually from broads 20 out to 8
back into the pocket. I am able to adjust my game by going left and hooking
more or right and playing straight. I always leave a full roller track on the
ball no matter my game at the moment.
Setting up the directions.
If looking down at the ball at release. 12-o'clock
is pointing toward the pins, 3-o'clock to the right, 6-o'clock opposite the
pins, 9-o'clock towards the left.
When I hold the ball during my pushaway, armswing, and release my thumb is
usually angeled toward my body and my fingers are angled away. If looking
down at my ball at my release point my thumb will be on top pointing toward 10-o'clock and fingers at 4-o-clock on the side of the ball. I do not rotate my hand at
all during the swing and release. My thumb and fingers stay in the same
orientation right to my release. My hook comes from my thumb exiting the ball
before my fingers and then my fingers lifting upward with the follow though.
I don't rotate my hand clockwise nor counterclockwise during the release.
I leave a full roller track.
quote:
Imagine a clock pasted on the masking unit above the pins, now hold your hand straight out in front of you, palm facing the ceiling. If you rotate clockwise from this position, it becomes the full roller release
I don't understand this statement. When am I doing this? At the release? My
hand position is already counterclockwise from 6-o'clock at the release.
I don't even come close to a back-up ball (thumb at 1-o'clock fingers at
7-o'clock at release.)
It is a matter of changing my follow-through if I am already in the
correct aspect at the line?
