Quick Hitters:  I have a friend from my Tuesday night card game that bowls in the same league I do on Friday night......we both love to gamble, him even more than I.  We have a friendly competitiveness.  He's the king of $5 bets if that makes any sense.  "Hey let's put $5 on ___" etc, you get the point.

NOTE: His league avg in this house is in the 190-195 range, I'm in the 225 range.

Lately, the agreement we've come to is $5 per game, he gets 25 pins handicap.....but it's getting a bit stale.  We want to do something unique but still competitive. 

My request to the board:  What can he/I do as a creative bet on league nights? 

I'm open to most anything but we do have to strike a balance as far as handicap, it's only fair. 

You can do number of strikes, spares, or open frames (that would be least open frames).

How about stringing strikes in a game:
- You have to string 5 and he has to do 3.
- If you both get it in game 1,
- then goto game 2.  and same for game 3.
- Who ever loses in a game, can add additional $2 to the pot, but has string and additional strike the next game to win.

I don't know. Just thinking off the top of my head. Feel free to adjust or discard. 

Strikes are worth $0, spares are worth $1, opens are -$3.

Total for the night and pay.

Option 2.

 Pick a score for the game. If you pick 225, for every pin you go over you get a quarter,  for every pin you are under you owe a quarter.  Total after each game. You both have to agree on the scores before starting

Never, ever encourage gambling. period. end of story.
