I have a friend that is looking to add a ball to his arsenal. He is more up the back of the ball with lower tilt (approx 10-12 degrees). He throws a Ghost Game 1, goes to a Crux at 3000 game 2. By Game 3, the Crux is too early to get through the fronts and he doesn't want to move far enough left to get the ball to the dry and/or change his release. Wants to play the shim. Any recommendations?

I'd like to know what his speed/rev rate are and to know the pattern/lane surface to give you a more specific response.
But generally for what is happening you will be looking for something lower diff and symmetric so the ball doesn't rev up so much.
For me, the Radical Intel is one of my favorite balls for camping in the track in league as they start to dry out.

Around 16 on the monitor, 325 rpm, house pattern that has a good amount of oil in the middle and some dry to the outside with an out of bounds around 3 down the lane. Lane surface is the newest version of ProAnvilane. I'm sure he would like this same look on sport shots as his has this issue at tournaments quite a bit.

You want to play the shim? After Dark Solid. Touch it with some surface. Heavenly.

sounds like a job for an iq solid

The Intel should be a fine match up for league but the refusal to move on sport will be a problem. That magic ball doesn't exist
