Help out the Pikeville College Bowling Program
« on: November 16, 2010, 03:52:45 AM »
All Br.com members! I need your help.

My name is Chris Jones, Sr. at Pikeville College. (Pikeville College is a 501 3C organization)
As a part of the Pikeville College Bowling Program I am responsible for raising $300 for our individual expenses for two tier-1 tournaments in Las Vegas over Winter Break.

In recent years our program has raffled off a big screen TV. We are doing the same this season. It was not until now that I realized that the community here at BR have a shot at this giveaway.

The raffle is for a 46" Samsung 3D LCD HDTV. (part number LN46C750)
Specs
-3D LCD TV (emitter built into TV, glass sold separately*)
-2010 Internet@TV content service
-Wide color enhancer
-BD WISE
-Light Sensor (energy saving)
-HDMI, 2 USB ports, 1 PC input, SRS theater sound

Ticket Prices:
$5 each 3 for $10 or 8 for $25

The drawing will be December 10, 2010 at 5:00pm ET.
The team is planning to have the event video taped and uploaded to FB.
TV will be shipped free of charge to the winner''s home.

Again, ticket prices are $5 each 3 for 10$, 8 for $25.

Paypal renoatpikeville@charter.net with name, addy, and phone number.

Is Kyle Barnes still on the team up there? If so, tell him Jess said hello.

Jess,

I did bowl with Kyle in the 2006-2007 season but he transferred out after.

As for the raffle, thanks to all that are interested in purchasing tickets. Remember the raffle is December 10th! You can purchase the raffle tickets up until then.

Please continue helping out the Pikeville College Bowling Program!

Where did Kyle transfer to, and is he still bowling?

That's probably a question best answered by Kyle. I didn't exactly keep up with him after he left. I'm sure you can look him up on fb and catch up.

What do you mean? I would like to see your point of view on this raffle...this is how I interpret your post, either you do not like the raffle itself or the way I am soliciting users on this forum??

BTW, thanks joefalco, every bit helps!!

Good luck in the tournament. Which one(s) will you bowl? Does Mr. Damron still run the women's team? I bowled for them back in 2001.
--------------------
Just bowl
Reax-45x4.5x40(pin down)
Nexus (original)- 45 x 4 x 35 (pin up)
503t-45x4.5x40
Source-60 x 5.5 x 50
Nexxxus f(p+s)-70x5.5x35
Marauder-55x5x50 (2k+polish)
300t-60x5.5x50 (+polish)
Melee-75x6x40 -- Anyone want to buy this?

Thanks! The Las Vegas trip consists of the Glen Carlson Invitational and the Sams Town Collegiate Shoot-Out (which sucks, lol).

Yes, Ron still coaches the girls team. They are currently in Louisville bowling the BTM Striking Knights.

The way I interpret it is that there are much more worthy causes to put
my money to regarding charity--like supporting chronic illnesses or putting
money into senior food banks.  You are low on my shopping list.

From the number of responses, I am not alone.  Personal insults only show
a limited ability to respond sensibly.
