Asbaty to appear on 'Good Morning America' Thursday

Longtime United States Bowling Congress Team USA member Diandra Asbaty, Chicago, is scheduled to appear on ABC's award-winning "Good Morning America" television program Thursday, Dec. 8.

Asbaty, who recently was featured at length in USA Today and on the syndicated television program "Inside Edition," will appear with hosts Charles Gibson, Diane Sawyer and Robin Roberts in ABC's Times Square studio, where a temporary bowling lane will be installed for demonstrations.

"I hope to get more people to think about bowling in a different way and inspire more people to bowl on a regular basis," said the 25-year-old Asbaty, who was recently became the first American woman to be elected to the World Bowling Writers Hall of Fame.

Check your local listings for the "Good Morning America" airtime on the ABC affiliate in your area.

I didn't see this post until this morning, so I couldn't watch or record the show.  Did anyone see it?  I'd be curious to know how it turned out.

I just went on Good Morning America's website and I could not find the video or a transcript of Diandra's appearance.

Hopefully they didn;t gus hover what she smelled like! unlike the other bowling story they did about Storm Balls. Crappy half-assed journalism.

  It was a puff piece that can be summarized as follows: "people still bowl."

Diandra barely had a chance to say anything. They each tossed a ball, went to
commercial, came back from commericial - it was over. The complete transcript is about
like this: "My high game is 300, I bowl the men." - commence throwing balls.

But, hey, at least it was something about bowling on a national morning show
even if it was watching newsutainment people toss a ball in bowling shirts.
