I typically stand 35, throw 19 at the arrows and throw the ball straight.. If you miss left adjust your target slightly to the right, if you miss right, move your target left assuming you hit the target and still missed.. Also.. Don't focus on the pin... Look at the reflection of the pin on the lane... Look at the top (head) of the pins reflectiong.. Draw a line from that point, through your target, to your lay down point.. Then focus on PAINTING the line with your bowling ball... You can make the line as wide as your ball, gives you a larger target to focus on than the pin itself. There is a large margin for error on spares.. If you don't think so, put a pin down on a table and put two bowling balls up against opposite sides of the pin, it is quite wide and that's all you have to hit to knock the pin down..
