help with homework/ coming up with new bowling product
« on: December 06, 2009, 11:25:54 AM »
well im asking this in the bowling section as its bowling related.

I have to come up with a product and a marketing plan, and i want to come up with a bowling related product and having trouble and wanted some input.

Name something that you wish was available that is not and how much would you pay for this item?

A BALL RACK that would hold 15 bowling balls with a cost of $40. It would have to be light weight and sturdy. It would also need to be PORTABLE and easy to assemble.

EBONITE had a 12 ball rack, but it disappeared from sales.

thanks for the idea but its not really something "new" and "inventive"

i was thinking about interchangeable finger inserts, we have interchangeable thumbs now we have inserts.

but i really dont know, still giving it thought

battery operated table top ball spinner. just something small to take out before a tournament and put on a table top. just an idea, $50.

what kind of battery are you going to use that would power and spinner long enough to alter the surface of a bowling ball?

technically speaking a rechargeable lithium battery comprable to a cell phone would do the trick for a solid half hour

i like the idea, could plug it into the cigarette lighter, do have a question though, for only $50 would it be like an attachment to a bowling bag? as bowling bags alone retail for much more.

Cig lighters usually turn off with engine (usually) .. guess you would need one in the trunk or a long extension cord!

How about software available for +/- $50 where you feed co=ordinates of ball and system provides a print out of exact layout for ball. You deliver printout to Shop where they lay it out on ball and drill holes as needed. Should save money on drilling!

Power it with a 19.2 rechargable "Craftsman" battery.  Then it could also be sold thru Sears and Kmart.
