I am new to the site and was curious about something. Everyone here refers to the pin in palm drilling with the cg at aprox. 45 degrees as a "rico" drilling. Why is this? Ric Hamlin did not invent this, It is something that guys at the high roller tourny thought of many years ago to get a smooth even reaction on tough conditions. I am not trying to be a hater, just curious thanks.

RICO: Right in Center of (grip)

That's how I learned it.

I've always referred to it as a pin down/hole down layout. I used to go to a driller who was a big Brunswick guy back in the mid to late 90's and he layed out a Danger Zone this way for me. I could go up the lane or slow curve it and it replaced 2 slots in my arsenal. It is great control layout for the big hitters.
