wow:what a mess

Today when i was bowling with my track assassin one of the shots i took with it in my 2nd game the ball just split in half and broke into a ton of little pieces after it hit the pins. And i was like wth, the ball was not frozen or anything like that but the manager said he will replace it with a ball of my choosing. Anyways anyone else seen their ball or any other ball just crack and explode into a ton of little pieces when it hit the pins?

NEVER saw it .. but wish I had .. must have been some SHOCK! Did it make an explosion sound or JUST FALL APART?

Well it was not too loud but it sounded like when a kid whips the ball down and ends up hitting the gate.

But the clean up took forever they had to move us to a different pair so we could finish our games before the next league came in to bowl.

i have seen it happen, but not breaking into pieces...

a man in a house i practice at hit the pocket and you heard a weird *pop* . he started raising hell as soon as his ball came back: the ball had a crack all around the coverstock, and it was literally about half an inch wide in some places. the core held it together. the ball wasn't cold or hot (70* temps, season: fall) so the pro-shop bought him a new ball and drilled it for him.

it was columbia, and only a few months old.

That's a pretty accomodating house you bowl in.  If your ball got chewed up by their machinery, that's one thing, but breaking into pieces after hitting a rack of pins... hard to see how that's the house's fault.

Sounds like you lucked out.  Have fun picking out a replacement!

HEHE true about that seadrive, but hey im not complaining anyways the ball was extremely old, just waiting for something like this to happen. Now to choose what i want as a replacment.

Considering it was an old ball and not the houses fault, the right thing to do would be not to make them buy you another ball. But that being said you could at least get a lower priced ball, that being said have fun looking through the lane 1 catalog, I hear the new one is supposed to be a bad azz. lol
