Helping Post... Please LQQk Inside
« on: April 01, 2007, 03:51:02 PM »
As a few know, Tuesday I leave for the Air Force. I will be in bootcamp for 2 months and then tech school for 3 months. I dont know when the next time I will be on ballreviews.

Since this is a bowling site with alot of great useres, I please ask everyone to post anything and everything new with a link.

Please post a link with the new bowling balls, whats going on with Ebonite and all that, and or anything else that relates to bowling that I might need to know about when I get back into bowling.

I will post another thanks once I get back to this site, but for the mean time I want to give out thanks in advance for people that will post me links to anything that is new with bowling.

Also will someone please bump this every week so that it stays updated? Thanks!

I'm alson in the Air Force. Where is you tech school going to be? That's when you'll get some freedom back. Try to visit the bowling alley on Lackland, I know a couple of the guys that worked the pro shop were ball testers for Columbia, don't know about now. When you get stationed at your first base try to find out what you need to do to try out for the AF Bowling team!!! If you make the AF team you get an automatic entry into the Team USA try outs. Good luck and make sure you don't piss the instructor off the first day he might make you the Chow Runner. Good luck!!

Thanks everyone. Yea I am planning on trying out for the Air Force squad and Im going to find it interesting lol. When I looked up some info on the team alot of the guys were Sargents or Master Sargents. I will only be an E-3. Knowing that, I will probably be the youngin on the team that everyone gets to mess with.

My problem is going to be able to find a good ball driller. Ive tried and tried to find one here but I hate my thumb and it always screws something up.

For basic I will be in Keesler, Mississippi I do believe. Im going into Financial Management which is awesome because its the job I wanted. Im in for at least 6 years and If I want more than I will sign up for more. I figure 6 years will give me a good time to see new surroundings and will build rank fater than 4 years.

Both my parents were ex Air Force so I know the do's and don't of basic lol. As far as basic goes I was a little nervous about 3 weeks ago, but for the last 2 I have been in a bring it attitude lol. Im excited about it.

Again thanks to those that have already posted in here.

If they ask for volunteers for the bowling team in basic don't do it...it's not the bowling team you are looking for

Had some fun times while I was in Biloxi in tech school on and off base. No clue what the town is like since hurricane Katrina hit it. I'd imagine some of the dorms on base people used to complain about got an upgrade since the base was hit (some of those old dorms went back to WW2 and had just been "updataed" over the years).

Thanks again everyone and this is going to be my last post for at least 2 months. Everyone please try to do a good job of keeping this updated with all the latest news. Thanks!

Biloxi? I have been to Pass Christian and it was just awful. I was in the central part the first time I went and after the first day I just wanted to be left alone. Words cant really describe how you feel. The next time I went I got to go to the eastern side and the first time I was there I heard that the Eastern side was hit worse out of all 3 sides. Well I got to go to the Eastern side and this was about 3-6 months after the first time I went and it looked like the first time I had gone down there. The Eastern side was just rediculous.

Anyways, I am going now. Thanks again everyone as this site has done alot for me. I will be back, but not for a couple of months.
