A few questions concerning speed, revs, and track...
« on: February 05, 2004, 10:40:01 PM »
I've been wondering, since I see it so much on this board and in other places...

As for speed...what is considered slow? medium? fast?  How can you measure this?

As for revs...what is considered low? medium? high?  How can you measure this?

As for track...what is considered low? medium? high?  How can you tell and what are the characteristics of each?

track height to my understanding anyway it is according to how far away from the fingers and thumb it is.  A high track is very near the fingers and thumb.  Medium is little farther down toward the middle of the ball away from the fingers.  Low track looks like the ball is almost spinning like a top with the fingers and thumbhole being the top of the top.

I don't really play cards and I am not 79, but it fits together somehow.

It's a 106 miles to Chicago. We've got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark and we're wearing sunglasses.

The only way to figure this out is with someone taping you bowl, having a stop watch, and having a vcr that will play seperate frames. Pretty confuzing.

Adding to the confusion regarding speed is that some discuss speed at the pin deck (or at least further down the lane) while others discuss speed off the hand...

Oh, and let's confuse the track issue...y'all forgot inverted high and low tracks

speaking only from the perspective of a medium speed at the deck inverted high track
