What is the high average in your house? I see a lot of people posting up 220+ in the post titled "What's your average?". The high average booked in my house last year was 218. Are you guys bowling on cake shots or what? Post up what the high average is and where your from.

High house average last year 228.
My high average last year in this house 222.
Wichita Ks.
Cake shot.... Yeah pretty easy but not compare to others around town. The guy carrying 228 was Nathan Bohr pretty good college bowler. We have quite a few 220+ but most are top amatuer bowlers either currently or in the past. ABC hall of famers, former team USA, team challenge winners, collegiate all americans, and several members of the Wichita State bowling team both current and past.

High average - 227 (this guy is a Gold level instructor for one of our local colleges) Of course he is a left too!
I'm second with a 217 (but gaining fast)

My wrist brace is just like my RADAR detector, I really don't need it but it sure makes me feel better when I have it on.

238, league average is 173
Tough shot with 42' medium to heavy with no wall unless you consider still having 10 parts at the 5 board 30 feet out a wall, I don't.
Also has the jumpiest backends I have ever bowled on.

Last year I was high average with a 204. Pretty tough house and only a hand full of decent bowlers. Currently I'm down to 193 (high is around 205). I've really been struggling with dry heads, and I haven't had much time to practice.
-
High average is 231.
My average is 225.
In this house you can't pay attention to your average. You have to pay attention to the managers weekly average. If is average is up you will see the same shot next week. If his average is down you know it will change. I'm not complaining because he is a good friend. It is just the way he measures things. By the way, last season he was on my team in the big money league and we won it all

High in the house is 223, but it would not be considered "cake" or "walled" by most. We have a host of top-flight bowlers here including PBA past and present members (Brad Angelo, Joe Ciccone, Jack Jurek, Fran Bax, Brad Kiszewski, Tom Baker, Etc, Etc.)
Not a difficult house to find the pocket, but it turns into a "carry contest" for anyone 200 or over it seems. And of course the true better bowlers make the adjustments to find that carry.

Last year one house was 221 (Bob Benoit), and I was third in the house at 216. It wasn't a tough shot, it just carried down quickly. This year after Laneshield was put in, scores are astronomical. Easiest shot I've ever bowled on. 216 wouldn't probably be in the top 20 in the house, although 221 might be. I think the high average there is 235. Other house is Rhino Page at 230-something, around 235 I believe. It's easy too, but carry is a little more difficult.

YOU'RE better than ME because . . .
1) You can probably shoot higher than 650 every week.
2) People don't keep asking you what high school you go to.
3) Your mouth isn't as big as mine.
4) You post here to get away from people chewing your ass.
5) You probably look forward to waking up every morning.
6) Your skills are probably appreciated.
7) I can barely afford to live with my parents.
8) People look forward to seeing you at league every week.
9) You don't own my cat.

according to our latest sheet we have 3 people at 218. I'm at 196 and rising.

The house I bowl in the Highest average in the house currently is 228, the last 2 years it was 224, and only about 4 people carry 220+ averages there and it is a horse race to see which one will be the highest at the end of the year. Those guys are pretty good though, they never seem to come home empty handed from a tournament. The house I bowl in is not the easiest place in the area (wash DC) but it is not the hardest either. One house 230 wouldn't get you in the top 5 tops in that one was 247 (lefty of course).

High is 192, Im at 178 and improving.
Not bad for a rookie at our lanes.

High average last year was 243, the highest average in all of Eastern Long Island. Same guy this year is again high average, with a 239.
A couple others 230+, several more 220+. The shot is a typical crown, with a puddle in the middle and 3-4 units outside of 8. If you can turn it up, you have several time zones of area.
Funny thing is, the guy with the highest average is a pretty straight player, basically up the boards between 1st and 2nd arrow. He's just machine-like in the way he repeats shots and maintains ball speed.

that may be the high in your league but I doubt the house, never heard of a house where there isnt anyone atleast over 200 ever, either its a 1 league like 6 lane house or its your league only

Silencer the guy that averages 192 bowled in this years British Open and averaged 206 over about 18 games. Finished top 50 and wasnt a left hander.
League is singles scratch over 4 games/week, season is 58 weeks and were on about 37 now.
Hes a top class act and used to bowl with all of the big guns this side of the pond. Only bowls for fun now, but he is still very good.
Dont forget this is the UK and I dont think anyone here knows how to put out a wall, if we even wanted one.

The high in my Thurs. night house is currently a 187. Its a 36 lane house with Anvilane, Frameworx, and all the modern convienences. However, we are currently the only competitive league (others are have-a-ball type leagues) and the shot is very, very demanding. Its not an official Sport condition--that would be an upgrade. I love bowling there because it challenges you to constantly adjust and to be very accurate. After this house, my other leagues are a cake-walk. I can bowl badly in another house and out average my Thurs average by 20 sticks.

Good luck & good bowling

There's a guy here who is sitting on a 239.4 average with 36 games so far.
