High Performance Used vs Mid Price
« on: July 09, 2007, 06:59:53 AM »
Which do you think is better.  I'm looking to get a new ball for medium heavy conditions.  The main ones I'm looking at are the Raw Anger and the Gamebreaker, but I was wondering if I should get a used high performance ball insted.  At the proshop I go to it only costs $40 to get a ball plugged and redrilled with thumb slug and finger grips.  So, should I get a new ball ($150-$170) or a used one ($60-$100 + $40 for drilling).

it's all personal preference here, personally i dont throw plugged stuff at all, just my thing...also depends on your budget i get all my stuff at cost and drill it myself so it's easier.  if your shop is good at color matching then try a used ball to save some money....good luck

Half way between those amounts you probably can get a new RotoGrip ball.
My guys has the Mystic for approx 130 drilled, grips and all. Check around.

It is very simple. I have seen both used extensively and I would say to get the GameBreaker. If the Gamebreaker goes under the radar this season it will be a shame. The PROVEN NITRO Core(found in the V2 Series) and the coverstock from THE ONE. You cannot beat that for the dollar.

Problem is the guy I go to doesn't carry RotoGrip.

He may not stock RotoGrip, but if that's what you decide on, ask him to order it for you.  He should be able to get any of their balls within a max of three days.  Or buy it on the internet and have him drill it for you.  --  JohnP
