Sawbones – Since I am still a productive member of society my time of day is limited so most of my golf is restricted to the evenings.
As you well know we are as much or more accustomed to playing in the wind as you Okie’s and 25 mph is just a breeze around here. Yes given the choice of rain and no wind versus sunny and wind I will pick the former but when them there light’n bolts are a flying I don’t venture out with a steel rod in my hand.
I was playing once when it started hailing golf ball sized stones, would have lost my ball that I had hit in the fairway but I waited for the other orbs to melt so I could find it. Took me 20 minutes on each green after that to fix all the hail stone marks so I could putt (some would say it wouldn’t hurt my putting any if I had left them).
We have a course that one nine has been closed because the creek that runs thru it is covering the cart paths with over a foot of water on 4 holes, so we just play the back nine twice.
You must be getting sissy rains and not these 3 inches an hour jobs were getting.
