i think the blast zone is earlier than the cell but the cell might have more overall hook. my blast zone was way to early for my roll so i got rid of it.

I can't comment on the cell but the BZ is a hook monster, drill it long and strong.

Why is it always about which ball hooks more???

Cell is more versatile on Med-Heavy oil
Blast Zone is very condition and release specific, which has already been said.

Twisted Fury
Raw Hammer Pain
Blue Vibe

Some people just refuse to leave the 1980s.

The BZ uses too srong a mass bias. That plus the strong coverstock finish, like many MoRich balls, make it hook too early and too strong, because people put the MB too close to the PAP/VAL, for their ball speed and rev rate.

The Cell with a slight weaker, but NOT WEAK mass bias, is more flexible once drilled, IN GENERAL.

I have 2 Blasts and a Cell and I'd have to say they hook about the same amount, just different reaction shapes. The Blast starts earlier and is more of an arc. The Cell goes a little longer and has a lot sharper breakpoint. If you want a ball for a house shot, definately go with the Cell because of the snap. If you want a ball for sport shot, I'd say go with a Blast because in OOB, its great on heavy and if you add some polish, you can get a closer reaction to a Cell and can use it on medium.

I suspect it's either your release or your drilling that provides the Cell with a "snap". Most people do not get a snap with a Cell unless they polish it a bunch.

Yes, The Blast is earlier and arc-ier than the Cell, but that doesn't mean the Cell is snappy by a long shot.

My Cell certainly is nowhere close to having "snap."  Super duper smooth off the breakpoint.

I meant compared to the Blasts. My bad on not making that clearer.

My Cell has the pin setting right above and between my fingers.

Me would guess the cell has a pin up drilling....but only a guess and lots of polish!
