Highest Rev Rate
« on: February 07, 2013, 11:55:29 AM »
Just out of curiosity!

What's the highest rev rate you've heard of/seen?  Any good videos out there?

I don't even care if it's not practical. Novelty is fun.

Scott Devers. Probably close to 13 revs, including 7 on the way back.

Since we are on the subject of high rev left handers, I am throwing Eric Forkel into the mix.  LMAO!!!!

A Storm employee was saying Osku can get it up to 675 rpm I believe.  He can also get above 400 by letting the ball hang from his fingertips.  A flick of his wrist will draw the ball up and once he has his hand under the ball he's good to go.

That's an awesome story.  My favorite thing to watch on the PBA shows is a high rev player's slow motion release because you can see the ball spinning in the air.

Anybody else hear of anything confirmed above 675?

Wikipedia mentions Maximum Bob at "up to 720 RPM".  But then again, Wikipedia is not a factual reference.

How high could Harry the Robot get up to?  He was a USBC testing robot, no?  I wish there was more video out there about him!

EARL was set as high as 675 in a video I watched at the Sync seminar yesterday.

I know they had a video of Robert Smith on C.A.T.S. before.I thought it was on a televised PBA event. I remember Randy P.being there and he threw his normal shot and then moved deeper and "got on one" and it went brooklyn and the reading went way up.....Can't find the video though....

The show your thinking of was from 03/04. I remember he threw one normal then randy had him hammer on one and cats said about 640. Then they used it going Brooklyn to say that accuracy and control is more important than pure revs.
