ok guys here it is . we are moving to new oxford pa ,to a bigger house . i want him to build the kids a new play center in the play room .
take a look http://www.birthblessed.com/home/castlemain.htm
these are bed but i have it all layed out for a play center with a play for our 6 year old to bowl a little too . i have a whole room empty . i want to turn it into a pure bowling room . i am gonna have my dad cut old pins in half and nail them on the wall . i found a place that i can get an old pin deck for a place to show off all his bowling sh*t or place his spinner . the part i am having trouble with is the rest of the room . so here it is !!!if you could have your own bowling only room what would you put in it . my mom and i are doing this for him so any ideas will help out very much . think outside the box , i do all the time . my 6yr sleeps on the top of a play house my 3 yr sleeps in a castle . i am telling you my house turned upside down when we had kids. now i have this big kid i want to do something for. he deserves it he works 60hrs a week, i want him to have his own little world just like the kids do with there castle play room , with ski ball, bowling , ballpit and all the other things i have thought up .
someone help me i want him to have his own world and i cant think of what to do for him i thought of taking some old ball and cutting them in half to put in with the pins . for that matter he has a tattoo on his shoulder of a mean looking ball with flames . i have a very talented brother that can draw anything with me right behind him i can put that ball with a set of running pins on it . (drawing is our strong point)
my ? is what would u choose in your all bowling room
the room is 14 feet by 12 feet
ok everyone lets have your best ideas . kids i am sure you guys can think up lots mine do daily thats why i have a circus for a house now . so think of some good stuff for me .
thanks

the poster idea i love never thought of that . the light i already i got in the works putting the spinner on a pin deck on top of a cabinet . so that covers that . i could use a holed peg board and cut it in half and place a regular peg board beside that for specs and stuff . no one tell him but his mother in law ( my mom ) is looking at a drilling machine at one of the lanes down there that just got a new one and need to unload the old one . its a suprise though so shhhhh no telling . we have a ball rack for him made out of 2x4s he made it himself . should i put a chair and tube in there for bowling sundays . what if i paint a bowling time line on the wall would that be cool for a bowling freak . i need to make up some kind of neat shelving something using bowling stuff . i think i could take a pin deck apart to use the wood . make them look neat . should i put a positional light on the work area . i know i need plastic for behind the spinner . come on i need the funkiest idea u all got i can hang the posters on either side of the shelf that i want to put up . so lets hear what else you guys got .
thanks a bunch

Posters and/or pictures of their favorite bowlers. That's what I have a lot of. I too have some pins cut in half and hung on the wall. A friend of mine who also has a bowling room made himself a bar out of an old wood lane. He got the section with the arrows.

thanks that gives me an idea for his work area!!!!!!!!!!

ALONG ONE SIDE OF THE ROOM, MAKE A SMALL BOWLING LANE! Haha, could be used, or just be cool to look at.

Table made out of a pin deck.
Seating made of the old wooden bowling lane benches.
Framed articles/ads from the "heyday" of bowling.
I'm waiting for my 19 year old to move out myself. I have his room slated for a bowling office for me. Spinner and work table, ball racks (2), desk and computer, book cases and display cases for the golden days of bowling.
I have several vintage barbies and kens, and a bowling lane just their size. I have team uniforms for the girls (extra bowling barbie outfits), so I'm going to make a diorama of gals bowling night.
If I could find a bowling neon sign, that would make it. Several of my bowling balls that have been retired with honor will go on display in this room. I already have top treatments made out of a bowling fabric for the windows, and I've always wanted a tacky bowling pin lamp - I figure I'll cover the shade in more of the bowling fabric.
I'm also going to set up a wall with a big piece of fabric that I can pin the patches and pins on as they come in. Right now I have them in a big manila envelope - it would be cool to display them.
I hope this gives you some more ideas - I can't wait for my room. Be sure and keep us posted on how yours is coming along!!!

Maybe if he has a 300 ring, a display case for it? Like a plastic/glass box on the wall right when you walk in.

How about a bowling pin lamp/light..? My grandfather made one for me when I was a kid. He drilled a hole through the pin for the wiring and bulb fixture. Then made a square base and put a lampshade on top. I still have it, although the pin has a crack in the plastic casing now. =:^D
