Holy Grail of Non-Carry
« on: February 18, 2005, 01:29:44 AM »
Our team just missed last night in our quest for the holy grail of eternal non-carry.  Lead-off man crushed the pocket for an 8-pin.  Second man crushed the pocket for the 9-pin.  Third man crushed the pocket for a 10-pin.  Mind you, this was all in the same frame of the same game.  Then, it all fell apart.  Our fourth guy wimped out with a slow-4, and I wimped out with a slow 7-pin.

Yet another setback in our crusade for infamy.  Time to sharpen the lances and ride forth again.

Any other teams holding the grail?

in one game at ABC's last year...

start off with a double...

3rd frame....9 pin
4th frame....8 pin
5th frame...10 pin
6th frame....7 pin..

now that was a roll....

Our team has left so many tens of all kinds, shooting at all angles and speeds that we renamed the team, "Another F'ing Ten Pin."

Last night I left 12 corner pins and a pocket 7-10.

On our Monday night league my teammate who's been fighting the wet/dry condition decided to drill up one of those Bonanza yellow dots and play outside in the dry. After stringing a 4 bagger near the end of the game he left a solid 9 pin followed by a solid 8 pin. We hung him on the 9 pin and I seem to remember a disgruntled look for the rest of the night on his face...

Crushed the hole last night and left the 7-9.  I think the 7 pin spun around 2 or 3 times, while wobbling, but just didn't fall.  I could see leaving a solid 9, but the 7-9?  That ain't right!

Big Ern - Usually the 7-9 is simply the 4-7-9 with the 4 shmoozed out.

Shocker - heh, yeah, doing it in order may be the only way to improve on the theme.

Mumzie - Time to make a different adjustment!
