The Hardwick topic was locked, but now it isn't.

I wonder who locked it, the moderator or the originator?

Hey Ragnar,

Got a private message from Len Nicholson a few days ago, he's not posting there anymore cos he's mad that most of his recent posts keep being deleted by Moderator.

He said in the P.M. that he will post on www.bowlersjournal forum.

Check this out

The PBA Hardwick thread is not 'locked', I don't think, just went on it a minute ago.

CB, you can read it but not post on it anymore.  Yeah, I saw what Len wrote at BJI.

See if the Hardwick thread can be copied and pasted over here, then tell the author, or the man with the most info to come over here and keep telling us !

arrrrrrrrrr, I see.

What's the matter with the PBA?

I'm 25y.o., living in London, U.K., never really followed PBA until 2 years ago when I got Strike Pass, hence never know anything about the history of pro bowing in the U.S., but thanks to you I learnt about the Hardwick thread, very interesting stories there.  Kind of give you a behind the scene look at the tour in its 'golden days'.

Just don't understand why PBA would discredit its past Masters like that?!!?

No wonder Len, Billy Hardwick and others are mad.  So am I.

it's crap like that why I started my own website.  I was banned from the PBA website twice.... once for announcing a collegiate tournament (by definition is not a conflict to the PBA) and the second time for listing my e-mail address in my posts.

Idiots.

Didnt I read somewhere that the contents can not be copied since by being posted on the PBA site, they become the property of the PBA?

I think we have an answer as to why the PBA isn't as popular as it once was.  It's obviously pi55ing off everyone who might watch/help it grow.  Good business plan there - run everybody off!

I wonder if the powers that be over there heard the sound of the crowd calling "BS" on this one?

Actually, I emailed the PBA Webmaster whom I have known since I was in HS.  And gave him an earful... 5 minutes later the thread was unlocked and my IP address was banned (I said some very mean things in the email about Peters and the Webmaster)... but at least the thread is back... I hadn't posted there in years anyway...

You know who I am.... I am the man that stands in the crowd of ignorance and cries for freedom.

Locked again, but apparently on the BJI forum one of the PBA employees posted some inflamatory comments towards another poster (the IP address belonged to the PBA)  and then the Hardwick post was once again locked

I was just able to read all the  stories thru 1970 or so, and it's a fun read. I can't understand why someone would have an issue.  I'd love to read the rest of the future installments thru present day!

Sounds like the PBA is playing "I Got You Last."  That was always fun in kindergarten.
