wrist support

somebody gave me a wrist support in my bowling league tonite. i used it in one game and got a 202 in it. what does the wrist support do for your wrist? does it make your wrist stronger when u throw a 16 pound ball?

Be more specific, there are tons of different types of wrist supports.

In general though, a wrist support is going to keep your wrist in a straight position, which usually results in a stronger release.
