New videos tonight
« on: July 09, 2013, 10:59:27 AM »
Will be taking and uploading at least 2 videos tonight.  I thought I'd do a video on the installation of the Vise IT thumb system and the Turbo Switch Grip thumb.  I prefer the Vise, although the installation process is much more involved than the Turbo system, and my manager prefers the Turbo system because it's easier to install and easier to fix if it breaks or comes out.  The Vise system seems more durable, and the fixes are a lot cheaper, though it's more difficult if the "lock" in the ball breaks.  If the "screw" on the bottom of the slug breaks or comes loose, it's just a new little plastic piece, and you can save the slug.  If the tabs at the bottom of the Turbo slug breaks, you have to drill a new slug, and although they've increased the durability, because it's just a quarter turn to lock it instead of a full turn, I see them come unseated more easily and the sleeve can slide out of the ball easier.  But again, if the sleeve comes out, you just have to reglue it or insert another one, where the Vise system has to be aligned on the press and drilled out if it breaks, which is no easy task.  We have developed a few little tricks that help the durability, and I'll share those in the video.

Will also have at least one more section of my pro shop clinic, maybe 2.
What would you be if you were attached to another object by an inclined plane, wrapped helically around an axis?
