I bought my Ebonite Tornado a few days ago and went down to my favorite AMF center in Oklahoma and look at the terrible pin carry I got.

Oh and all the racist comments that went on this forum when Brunswick moved to Mexico or all the people dying because of lack of Health Insurance and we have to repeal it but this some how is a different subject. All those things that go on in the non bowling misc forum, half of those posts should be thrown out. You think about all the people who have died due to insurance company abuses. I can't control weather a tornado hits someone's house or building, but health insurance is definitely manufactured. Give me a break.
I will never take a person shot at anybody who has been a victim of this.

Like I said at least I don't promote repealing the health care law which we can control. I can't control whether a storm hits some building.
Yeah I feel bad for the victims too. I'm not making fun of dead and sick people like the jokes about Obamacare are.
What about flood victims? It's the same people every year. They can move out if they want to. They can control weather they they want to risk being in a flood or not. The property I am on will never be under water, and we'll never need FEMA to save us. I can't control whether I get cancer. Think about that. Hopefully attitudes on this change over time like Jim Crow.

We can vote individuals in who can change it. I am not dillusional because I have a cousin who was 6 months pregnant and she died and her baby who was saved needs that law. Maybe we can modify it. Plus that is an opinion that it is not going to work. We don't know that. This is what we were warned about when television became mainstream. Watching it too much does stuff to people. I know 2 people who could have used this. It's totally under our grasp on how the government reforms health care. So yes, you people are worse than someone making a joke about a storm. You guys talking about repealing that law and replace it with nothing leaving this child uncovered are offending me way more than you can offend a storm victim. If I made a joke that someone got hit by a tornado and the rescue people never came and made a joke about that, that is a totally different thing because that is manufactured.
I said nothing about any particular person. Like I said there's another post where there are several people who said the exact same thing.
The bottom line is everyone of you on this forum could the ones a victim of health insurance company abuses and anyone of you could benefit from the law whether the law turns out good or not. So if you're using a benefit of the law like no lifetime insurance caps, how would you feel I was the one leading the charge as a super right wing libertarian trying to repeal this law? I know you wouldn't like it. You just don't care until it affects YOU PERSONALLY.

You made a tasteless joke about the destruction of the bowling center. A place where people in the town came and had fun and could enjoy a night without the stress of life. People lost jobs who worked there, people lost their escape from the real world and most of all people lost lives in that area.
Making a dumb tasteless joke with the title you used shows just how dumb and delusional of a person you are.
I am glad you have no way to change this country, or no say in the political machine because quite frankly you are a loony tune.
Some how with your stupid tasteless joke you turned it into your own political soap box.

No it's just a joke about the machines. I do not wish this on anybody's job or career. Like I said, it's about the machine not a human's life.
I'm all for making sure rescue workers do their job and the management getting them to a safe place. Like I said, I didn't choose to make this storm hit this place. It would be different if a rescue worker failed to help someone and I made a joke about that. Then yes that's bad.
My stance on Obamacare is there should be opposing views and opinions WITHOUT DANGERING THE LIVES OF OTHERS like many are doing. The difference is, my joke doesn't danger the lives of others. It was not about any individual person. It was about a machine and how the pins stood up.

He did not talk about the pins in a grown up manner. He could of posted a picture and said "wow, the tornado was very wicked but some how the pins on that lane didn't fall down, here is a picture that shows it" But no, he purposely created a joke that involved the word tornado and used it as a play on words to create a punch line that involved bowling and the destruction of the bowling center.
That's a yuck yuck fest if you ask me. Looking for attention at the expense of the tornado and the destruction from that tornado.

There is sensitivity and then there is beating a dead horse with the same tired jokes about the tornado.
It's a bowling joke in poor taste. Why didn't somebody make a bowling joke about Boston or Connecticut. Just because there is bowling involved and this is a bowling web site doesn't make the joke any less stupid than if somebody would of made a joke about those other tragic events.
How about I make a joke about Boston and use Lane #1 in it. What would you all say to that one?

that's not even a good joke.........the fact that a huge tornado ripped through a bowling alley and all 10 pins on one lane were still standing is astonishing. using lane #1 in correlation to the boston marathon couldn't even be made into a joke because nothing about bowling was related to the incident. its not like there was a picture of a pressure cooker with a bowling pin inside of it.....douche.

I could make a very inappropriate joke about Lane #1 and Boston very easily and I really mean inappropriate to the point where it would offend many people.
Would I do that, no way because there is a way people should act and respect those who have lost life and lost things important to them in times of tragic events.
This is not the time and place to make jokes.

And I'm done with this thread. It's all fun and games till it hits your own back yard and then the reality sets in that the silly jokes and poking fun isn't as fun anymore as it use to be.
After seeing the destruction that hurricane Sandy had on my home state. So much destruction and heart ache that people still have today, the yuck yuck jokes about the this tornado don't sit well.

I still think that it is astonishing some of the jokes. I grew up bowling there and living in Moore and no matter what I see, I could not joke about it. So many people lost everything and some lost thier lives.

Assuming this is referencing my thread:
My thread was simply the posting of the picture and reporting the objective facts that a rack stayed put (minus the 7 pin) throughout a tornado. The intent of my thread was not to be funny but rather to post an astonishing, MISC BOWLING RELATED photo. So if you want to reference another "create their own joke thread" for "Caroline's", you will have to look elsewhere.

GT I looked at just your post and I never read the rest of the replies. I was going off of the OP's information to me that your post was full of jokes. I didn't bother to read the jokes, no need to. Your first post on there was informative and shared the picture and the story. If there are jokes on there it wasn't of your own creation.
The OP says your post had a bunch of jokes in them. Not your fault if it did.

I opened the thread "HORRIBLE PIN CARRY, WORST BALL EVER" to read about a bowling ball that this poster might of not liked. I didn't open the thread to be treated to a poor taste yuck yuck joke about an Ebonite Tornado, "My Favorite" Oklahoma bowling center and a picture of the destruction with a punch line being the pins still standing.
You had to spend more than 5 minutes thinking out this yuck yuck joke. The intent was to be funny at the expense of a tragic event.
The title itself was created to trick people into looking at the thread and the yuck yuck joke. I give the poster a thumbs up for creativity in design of his joke. Other than that I don't agree with it.
It's sad that people think of making a joke right away and then feel justified with their actions.
Like I said before, we only make jokes I guess when it's convenient and not that much of a tragedy. This was a relatively "minor" tragic event so let's make a joke.

I don't make fun of death and destruction. Every day misfortune is nothing compared to having people killed and having your whole entire block destroyed by a natural disaster. A tornado is not a misfortune. A misfortune is coming out of a store and having somebody back into your car and leave a huge dent and then leaving the scene of the accident. That is a misfortune.
Maybe the next hurricane or tornado we should put you all in the middle of it and see where you end up at. If you die..oooops a misfortune.

I'm just saying that you want to play the misfortune game as you see fit. If something horrible happened to you, well oops just misfortune I guess. Right? It's all fine and dandy till its your house that got destroyed, its all fine and dandy till its your mom or dad, sister, brother, husband, wife or child who died in the tornado.
Let's all just make jokes and call it misfortune because that's the cool thing to do.
We can agree to disagree on this and just move on. Points are made on both sides.
