RICO question
« on: March 26, 2009, 10:08:46 PM »
A guy has a ball that is drilled RICO for a 4 1/2" span. I would have the thumb plugged and the span would be around 4 7/8". I know it's quite a bit longer, but would the reaction differ much from the true RICO that is on the ball now?

Your span is 3/8 longer, which means your midline will move 1/2 of that distance, or 3/16.

If so, that will only put your pin 3/16 of an inch above the midline and would only have a minimal effect on the reaction.

I doubt if 100.1% of all bowlers would notice any difference.

Of course it will react differently, but not because of the change of span, but rather because your pap/rev rate/axis of rotation/tilt is different...

Rico drilling reacts differntly for everone.
