Bowling ball question

Hey everyone I haven't been on here in a while and i wanted to try and get some advice on a few balls i am looking at purchasing in the next month or so.

 

I am looking at a few balls but before i get into what balls i am looking for I want to give you some information on my bowling style.  I am a right handed bowler with above avg ball speed, usually above 18mph, also with above avg revs, prob some where in the 400-450 range. It seems that recently the balls that work for me are smooth and not overly snappy balls. Balls that i own that have those reactions are my Lane 1 THS, Track Project, Ebonite Complete NV, Roto Grip Mars, Hammer Psycho, Track 916 AT, Columbia Momentum. Those are the balls i usually throw often.

 

As far as the balls i am looking at here is the list of them I am looking at getting. I think I may get 2 out of this list but prob not more than that.

 

Seismic Blackout, Seismic Euphoria, Lane 1 Pearl Panther, Lane 1 Pink Panther, Motiv Raptor P7.

 

If there are any others that some one can recommend, please let me know. I typically don't match up well with the super high end stuff but any advice is appreciated.

 You won't be disappointed with the Seismic Blackout...it's a unique ball..very smooth, easy to control.  Might want to look in to the Nomad Dagger, it's on the strong side, not super strong though, but very, very smooth.

+1 on the Nomad Dagger.  It's very smooth through the midlane but packs a nice punch on the backend with its carry ability.

Agree on the Blackout. It is very smooth and easy to control, anything but spasmic. If you have some hand, you should like this ball on medium conditions.

 

Another ball to add to the potential list is IMHO the DV8 Misfit. It is a good ball for the money, a simple allrounder. From what I have seen not snappy but with a strong, smooth movement in the back end. If you are not discouraged by the colours, it is worth a try.

I think the Blackout is a definate buy. Not really liking the DV8 line of balls because they are made by Brunswick and i never really matched up well with them as a company. I think i wont get the Euphoria either seems a bit snappy and having a weaker pearl prob wouldnt match up for me with my higher ball speed and rev rate.

 

The Nomad Dagger could be a possibility though, looks smooth off the spot. I do like my Mars and they are both Hybrid covers so that could work for me.

 

As of right now i think i will be picking up the Blackout and possibly the Pearl Panther. Any one have any ideas of a higher end ball that might work. Pretty much something that would be stronger in reaction than my THS. Blackout would fit under i think.

 

Do keep the advice coming.

The DV8s are very different from typical Brunswick stuff - and even that changed a lot in recent years from mid-lane strength to more back end, due to more responsive coverstocks. The DV8 ball are IMHO pretty unique. From the belly I'd compare them with Ebonite or older Hammer stuff, and from what I have heard and experienced it seems to be the coverstock formulation (the neon additive is rumored to enhance traction like a kind of particle) and their good match with the exclusive DV8 cores, which tend to have higher RG values than Brunswick stuff. True, they are manufacturer by/through Big B, but fortunately the balls do not seem to be recycled "last year's" leftovers.

In addition to the Nomad Dagger, you could also consider the Vital Energy.  That ball is extremely clean with a defined and predictable breakpoint.  It works well on medium and some heavier volumes.  If you're interested, I have reviewed both the Nomad Dagger and the Vital Energy.

The only pearl ball i think i am going to get is the Lane 1 Pearl Panther.

 

I am thinking also that the Blackout will be very close to my Lane 1 THS. That ball for me is very predictable and super smooth. Hardly ever overeacts off the dry. Probably one of the best balls i have been throwing the last year or so after i gave up on it early for a while when i first got it. I dont really want to overlap reactions to balls that i already have. Im sure i can drill the Blackout weaker than my THS.

 

If again there are any other balls that are out or that are coming out in the next month or so please let me know.
