Hotels in Reno

Does anyone remember the hotels close to the Stadium in Reno, walking distance?

Thanks,

I've stayed at the El Dorado and the Silver Legacy. Silver Legacy is a newer hotel.

Several hotels are connected, so you can walk inside between them.

Circus Cirus is not much further away.

All are withing easy walking distance.

Seems like the Silver Legacy and Eldorado are about 2 blocks from the stadium.

We are staying at the Silver Legacy this year.

I've done the Circus Circus before, and NEVER again. Too much of a circus getting in and out. Bowling balls make it a tough road. The Silver Legacy and Eldorado are fine.

El Dorado
Silver Legacy
Harrahs
Circus Circus

Those are the big 4 that are within easy walking distance.

But if you are looking further away, inquire about shuttle service before booking a room.

I've also found that calling them on the phone sometimes results in cheaper room rates then online booking.  Also booking under other groups, AAA  or AARP rather then the USBC rate is sometimes cheaper.

Thank you for the info.  I got a room at the Silver Legacy.  Cost was $115 for Friday and Saturday and $59 for Sunday night.  Cost on the internet was $104 a night.

Thanks again,

For others who might be interested - we always stay at the Sands. They always have some sort of "great deal" - last time we went, we paid $29 a night. They're 4 blocks away, if I remember correctly. We get the great deals because we're a "member" of their players club. When we get there, we ask to see the room before we check in - and check everything out. One year we didn't do that, and the bed was harder than the floor. After that, we learned our lesson.

Can't beat the price.

I think the Sands is gross.  We usually stay at Eldorado or Silver Legacy

The Sands has been recently renovated and I had a very nice stay there for a regional last year.  We're staying at the Peppermill this time, as I've stayed at most of the closer hotels by now.  By the time 2013 is over if I keep staying at different places, I should have most of the big names down, so far El Dorado seems like the nicest, especially for being so close, but I'm looking forward to my stay at the Peppermill this year.

Over the years I have stayed at Circus Circus, Peppermill, and Atlantis. Do not like Circus Circus, too many kids.  Peppermill and Atlantis are both great but I have given a slight edge to Atlantis (they are not in the downtown area with Atlantis being the furthest away).  I think both of these have added new buildings so they may have changed a lot since our last stay.

I stayed at the Silver Legacy.  I plan on staying there again in 2010.  It is nice and a short walk to the stadium.

I have always stayed at Circus Circus.  It seems to be cheaper than the Silver Legacy or Eldorado.  They are all connected by midways so it's really like one large hotel.

Of the three CC is the furthest away, but still just about 5 blocks.  It was nothing to roll a three baller and carry a 2 ball tote last time.

Now the rooms are not nearly as nice as the other two hotels from what I hear but the price is worth it.

The few times I have gone we always stayed at Circus Circus. You can ship your stuff directly there as well. I think you can with other places but I know for sure you can there. It's connected with Eldorado and Silver Legacy so you can stay indoors until you get over to Eldorado and then head outside. Only thing that sucks about Circus Circus is the trolly connecting the main part of the casino to the wing that most of the rooms are in.
