About two years ago I had a team mate explain the concept of "closing" my fingers at the end of my release to give the ball a little more revs. Try as I might, I wasn't really able to do it very well.
This week (after several weeks of working on loosening up my swing) I remembered what he told me and I gave it a try. I had no problems and got some great extra revs on my ball.
I haven't heard anyone on here discussing this technique nor does it look like the pros on tv are doing this (when I watch PDW his fingers are pointing at the sky on the end of his release).
Is this something I should incorporate into my game, or is it just another move that complicates the swing making it more difficult to repeat?
