Wut houses have the best carry i think any AMF house cuz of the oil on their pin deck and Don Carters Tamarac cuz they have gutter shutes to take the 10 pin or 7 pin out

kind of a weird thread but ok. any house that has twister pins, period. those things fly all over

Northwest Lanes here in Fairfield, Ohio carries like crazy. Just ask Vince Nadosky about the carry there.

If this was a thread on worst carry... I'd say any house I bowl in.... or... any house with twister pins.

Now, the house I carried best in would be Granada Lanes in Livermore, Ca.

From a mechanical stand point... amf pinsetters has the ability to move individual pins and with the allowance of .5" (abc allowance) you could move the corner pins up and inside the spot by .5" and that means "carry". Keeping flat gutters in good repair and the minimum depths can also create great carry. Finally strengthening kick backs can add maximize carry. You want good carry, its about paying attention to the details. Most centers rely on lane machines to provide it.

I went to this one house for a tournament, the carry was so messed up it wasn't funny. If you tipped the head pin you got a strike except if you were dead flush. I had so many PERFECT pocket hits and left weird things. The kid next to me could have bowled blind folded and struck because of the carry. So I had to strike by just tapping the head pin. Not fun.
