Post by: OddBalls on September 28, 2009, 07:07:48 AM
The bigger the tilt the more hook is gained?

I have friend who ahd the same pap as I do, but my ball covers about 5-8 more boards in hook than his..

Tilt usually allows a ball to conserve energy. More tilt conserves energy longer, less tilt burns energy sooner.

This is the major effect of hand position change.  As stated above more tilt conserves energy, the ball gets downlane farther and then goes to the pins.  Less tilt it will roll up earlier.  You can technically get two different shot shapes with the same piece, same as doubling the balls in your arsenal without spending the money.
