In my area league numbers are down. How are they in your area? Where are you bowling?

I bowl two a week, Tuesday and Thursday nights, both are 5 person scratch league.

Both nights the house is wall to wall with five person teams in leagues.

I think the other house in town is similar with very few lanes for open play.

Both houses also have strong daytime leagues on several days.

You guys need to move East!

I'm in FIVE leagues and always getting requests to join more!

Monday night, Tuesday night, Wednesday night, Thursday night and Friday mornings.

I sub on Wednesday mornings some times. I get requests for Monday mornings and Friday evenings! Five man teams on Wed. and Thurs. nights!

We are not at a loss for leagues! We also have many Virginia leagues and leagues in Baltimore!
Some days you're the bug....some days you're the windshield...that's bowling!

Leagues seem to be pretty flat around here compared to the last few years. But there has been decades of decline.

So I guess it depends on what you are comparing too.

OK here in northern NJ. The leagues in my main house are fine, and my teammates who bowl in other facilities say that they are maintaining decent numbers. A good sign is that several top high school bowlers in recent years are joining leagues after graduation.

Leagues are alive and well in Central Florida.  Probably because of the heavy retiree population.

Here in Tacoma Washington area we are full at 90 percent of houses having nightly leagues with lots of senior daytime leagues. we have had a few houses close, so that is part of reason everywhere is full. We are down to about six centers in a 50 mile radious south of Seattle

I bowl 3 leagues here in the little town of Baraboo. I remember as a kid watching my dad bowl and all 16 lanes were full and did double shifts. Now it one shift 8 teams. Some nights are combined with two different leagues on the same shift to fill lanes.

Excuse me for asking! Where is Baraboo? I've never heard of it!

I sure hope Bowling does not suffer too much from this pandemic. We need Bowling.
