Is this for personal use? I'd say to either spend a little more or look into a used jig which has a cradle where the ball can move freely on its x-y axis without having to be removed for accuracy purposes. The less human intervention, the better. You may want to check with Excaliber (if he's close to you), I believe he may have an extra one as he has upgraded his drilling equipment. Here's the pic...
