Tuesday night: Finished 2nd, we lost rolloff by around 30 pins. I bowled a low 700, but left FOUR stone 8 pins (righty) and my teammates left several as well. All on the right lane except for one or two., so I guess it was just a goofy rack. Unfortunately, the team that won the rolloff didn't have to bowl on this same pair of lanes!
Thursday night: Finished 2nd in the first half of the season rolloff. (I bowled a 288 last game, we lost it by 28 pins anyway.) We needed to win every game last night to make the second half of the season rolloff for a shot at the championship. I shot a 734, but we lost the last game by 1 pin. I left two flat 10 pins in the 10th frame from not reading the transition properly. Still pissed at myself...
Saturday night: Finished 2nd in the rolloff. I bowled a 725 or so, and we still lost by 38 pins anyway. (Rolloff was done immediately after league, and teammates weren't used to bowling 6 games in a row. One of my teammates is an older lady with a bad knee, she shot a 129 the last game. That kind of hurt us, but you can't really blame her. I can't say I like the way that league does its rolloff...)
So yeah, it could have been worse, but it certainly could have been better. Sorry if the scores in this post make it sound like I'm figjamming, but I thought they added a little perspective, and hell, we lost. I can't be
that good.
