How did the season go guys?
« on: April 21, 2011, 11:03:22 PM »
With the winter season winding down here I am wondering how everyone did this season? I had a rough season only averaging about 206, but came through when it counted threw 721 last night to help our team win the league roll off(I know a little figjam...) So how did you all fair?

teamwise we won are mixed league for the 2nd time in 3 seasons (1st, 2nd,1st) but thurs. night was a disaster...we had the second highest team average at over 1120 (5 man team) and finished 16th out of 24 teams..ouch

Saturday night mixed the team I'm on finish in 9th place earning $64.76 a piece per bowler - four person team.End up with a 192 average better than last year at 177 due to injuries. This year taking a month and a half off for surgery on my thumb for the cyst on the knuckle plus lipoma fore arm of my right hand and arm.I make a change in the thumb going with 45 degree drilling plus getting a Blast Zone.

I hate ten pins but love the game of bowling with just the right ball to take them out.

The season was the best since 2005. Unfortunately I didnt shoot any honor scores, but since switching from Hammer to 900 Global, Ive gone from a 205 average last year, to averaging 230 most of the season and ending with a 225. Also, we won our city tournament.

4- 300's, 2- 290's, 280+ 8, plus 270's x 20.  Multiple 790's, had great chances at 800's and blew them all.  285-280-191=756; 300-279-204=783; 256-290-240=786; 278-290-214=782; 242-256-300-798  Avg. 223 and 230 and still have 3 weeks to go.

Balls in the bag and order they come out:
#1/2 Nano and Anarchy #3- Virtual Energy   #4- Gravity Shift #5- Big Hit (spare and really dry)
#6- Teal Rhino Pro (oldie but a goodie)

Had a so-so year. As this is the first year in the last 8 i was not bowling with a cast on my right foot it was a year of major adjustments. Joined a team that finished dead last (40th) the previous year we moved up to  30th this year . My spare shooting was horrible and as a result only finished with a 174 ave, Had a high game of 276 and a low game of 124. High series was 617 and w 450. Best part of the year was won $1100.00 with 2 games. The other issue which compounded my years was sitting out the first 6 weeks with a broken middle finger and only getting 54 games total in due to our 7 man roster

Oh GOD where do I begin... let's see 4-person teams, 42 lanes, 44 weeks (position every 11th), 4 highest teams each of the 4 qtrs (can only be on the board 1-time) go to a 16 team bracket week 45, 32 people have shot 300 to date... my 804 is like 9th highest series, my 220 is like 35th high even when it was 225 I was like 18th. SO yeah... it sucks in SATX...

Still have six weeks of this crap...

Thursday Nights: Started with high hopes, had a decent 5th man to start the year. After about 5 weeks our new 5th chickened out and stopped showing up no call no show crap, bowled a man short for quite awhile. Got our butts licked the whole time. Toward the middle of the season we got a new 5th but his average was to low to compete in a Scratch league we finished in the middle of the pack.

Monday Night: PBAX League. started very well on Viper the first four weeks. Chameleon killed me my average dropped 25 pins. Made some of it back after that but could never put multiple good weeks together. great learning experince though.

Saturday Night: Couples league, just out to have a good time with a my lady and another couple we are very good friends with. Shay I bowl with on Thursdays and his wife Kathy are great to hang out with. We bowled in a 6 lane house for the league a spot none of the four of us have ever tried before and it showed LOL.

Team won by a pretty sizable margin... however I personally never got a feel all season, had a few good games and series but they were all pretty spread through the season, first year since starting 6 years ago my average dropped from the previous season.

Had to cut my season short....had a tear in the muscle on my forearm, very painful.....

But had a great year. Tuesday league we locked up, and the other two should finish in the top 5.

Score wise.....had 6 800 sets with a high of 833 and 7 300 games.

High average of 241 on my tuesday night league the other two were 229 and 227.

Might have to take the summer off for the arm to heal up. Go back to the doctors in a few weeks to get it checked out. Hoping it gets better for the summer tournament swing.

Respect the skill....not which hand it's thrown with.

Pretty bleh.  Down from 229 last year to 211 this year thanks to missing 3 months with a seperated shoulder.
