Whats your opinion on the subject?

Do you think it is easier to make a good setup with one company so your less likely to have stuff overlap, or with a mix of companies for more of a variety?

Easier?  Definitely one company.  MUCH easier to compare balls that have the same core, etc, than trying to figure out how a morpheus core with --- cover will fit with a vanguard core with --- cover..

Better?  Goes either way.  I don't think their would really be an advantage to having a balance of different companies besides trying out new things.

Its just annoying to me having a bunch of different companies. I LOVE visionary, but I want to make something from all one company, because its SOOO much easier! I dont really want to go all visionary though, because I think theres companies that have better selections. I know I know, I said I wasnt going to be biased to one company, but Im seriously thinking about it just to make my life easier.

BK, i went to brunswick.  IF you find a company you actually like, it makes things much easier.  And besides, you aren't a staffer.  If i bought a track ball, it's not like agents will come in and machine gun me or something.  *looks out window*

That's the thing.  I didn't want to feel like i was bound to one company, but once i decided to use brunswick, i realize it's not like i'm bound, it's just easier to make selections, and i can try whatever out if i want.

I have been saying this since I started throwing Lane 1 stuff...I can switch from ball to ball so much easier since the basic core geometry is the same and the coverstocks are as well.

Like I have said in the past...this is one reason why the Hammerheads had it in the bag during the urethane era...same core in everything just changed the coverstock. Talk about easy to adjust...if the black didn't hook enough, grab the blue. If the Black was too much, grab the red pearl. Need it to go straight? the pink was where it was at.

I loved those days....why can't we return?

Well, IF I do end up switching weights, Im going all storm. That is a big IF, simply because I would have to change slowly, since I cant afford close to $500 for new equipment.

TBK25: I think if you are going to switch weights, you need to make sure you can afford to get at least 2 balls at that new weight with different oil handling capacity. That's just my 2 cents worth on that issue.

Concerning myself, I used to think that it would be easier to make a set up with one company, but then I wasn't too impressed with a lot of the heavy oilers that Storm have put forth. So now I have a mix of Track and Storm, with a Roto Grip ball coming in for the lighter side of things as well. I think with the information you have from the people on site plus a good pro shop operator who will help look at what you have, you should be able to set up something decent with one or two companies at most.
