If you know what the subject would be and in what forum to find it, go to your My Profile (top left side) page, then change the Show Data For Past from 30 days (default) to Show Entire Database.  Then go to the Forums, pick the forum you think the info is in and scroll through all the pages of past topics to find the ones you think are pertinant.  I have managed to find some of the ones I wanted that way.  Sometimes, because posts go off-topic, the info you want may be in another topic that is similar to what you are looking for but may not be mentioned in the original subject line.  Hope this helps.
