Title: How do you know when you have too many balls?

I've been bowling for about 5 years now and I have piled up quit a bit of bowling balls. I used to have around 23 balls total but not I've limited it down to 11 balls (for now). How do you know when you have too many bowling balls? The balls I have now are: V2 Particle, power charge, super charge, TPC Warrior, Raging Inferno, Turbo X, Threat, Throttle, Ultra Hot, Throttle-R, and an electrical storm. Should I get rid of any of them or save them for when I might need them? I use frequently about 7 of the balls and use the others for rare conditions that I may come across when traveling. I only carry around 4 with me though when I'm bowling. my mom has been complaining that I have too many balls so I was wondering what you guys thought. after all there are some real experts on this site.

You know you have enough bowling balls when you pick up the bag in the back of the truck, open it up, and say "oh, yeah - I remember that ball!"

When in truth, you'd forgotten you even owned it, and you bought it 6 months ago.

I think I recall buying a used Wild from someone, but I can't remember who or when, and I have no idea where it is. Maybe I only dreamed I bought a Wild...

Okay, I found the Savage in my 3-ball roller in the closet, so... what's in the ball tote in my locker at the lanes? Could it be the Wild?

Seadrive has hit on something here...

You also probably have too many if you've ever debated if you would look silly entering the lanes with a ball balanced on top of your six-ball roller.

I know I have too many, 8 in my car, one in the shop and 10 at home, that rarely get thrown. Wife says the bowling balls in the room HAVE to go and my trunk wont hold more than 12......so yes I have too many. As long as you have the conditions you are bowling on covered (light, medium, heavy, spotty, clean backends, sloppy backends, spare ball) then you are covered. For me, that about 19 balls.....I mean 8.

Most of the guys I bowl with on "the men's league" bring one ball, no spare ball, and some of these guys average 230+.  It's the same shot every week, so no need for 4 balls.

I bring two, and average a little over deuce. I would feel pretty silly bringing in even a 4-ball roller. The guys would think I was a little strange...

I too,

Have the same,if not simaliar curses that come with mucho mas bowling
balls(aka too many balls,not enough conditions or decision,ball roller nightmares,etc!).

The main problem I have is DECIDING what ball to take to the bowling alley
on a certain day/night.Actually,its an entertaining problem,like I've typed
in simaliar threads,I pretty much take 2 or 3 balls lately and I'm good ta go!

Thats all,I have ta go to the local thrift stores now!I'll post later!

I have 6......for now I only carry 3 though because I only have a 3 ball roller, though if I think it is needed I carry a 4th in a 1 ball carry bag, and just set it on top of my roller. You can never have to many balls! Its against the laws of nature. There is no such thing as too many balls!

Ya know, if I took all of my balls with me everywhere I go, I wouldn't have, ummmm... misplaced the Wild (maybe it's in the trunk, no, maybe it's in my wife's trunk, no, maybe ...)

Well, I've solved the "not enough room in my car" problem - I drive a Tahoe, and I can carry 23 no problem in one layer in the back, without putting the seat down, and with room for a crate with all the miscellaneous "stuff" I might need some day.

Of those 23, 3 are hubby's, and 2 are son's. The other 18 are mine.

And yes - it's too many. I've decided to get rid of 4 of them.

I average 197 and I own three. Up until two weeks ago I owned two.

I have old stuff in the basement that I haven't used in 2-3+ years....

Um, last 18 months, maybe 45 balls? some are multiple of a single ball, lol i had 3 apex adrenalines. still have one left,

Um, and i have a ball tree full,(holds 13) and i have about 6 others on the floor, and i have 4 at one center and another 2 at another that i practice with the proshop guy/ best friend with on a regular basis, plus about 4 other i have to drill up and test in the next couple days.

You have too many balls when the 4 (or 6, depending on how perverse you are) ball roller you bring into the lanes has none of the balls you expected it to have. They are in your other 6-ball roller in your truck, or the one at home, or the one at work.

im 21 and ive probably got 15 balls i use and alternate, i used to take 8 into league but decided if i cant score with 4, i dont deserve to. tournaments ill take in my arsenal of 8 usually

V12, I have a couple reasons. 1) I have brought my average up to about 170-180's now, and 2) I got 2 of them free, they are plastics. Actually I will only have 5 because Im giving one of my old plastics to a friend. The other plastic isnt drilled, thats the other one I got free. So really I have 4 that I bought. Plus the scout I had from when I started bowling, it is a urethane, so I cant really use that as a strike ball. My Predator was my first reactive ball. And the 2 monsters I have my mom got me for x-mas for like real cheap because they were used, but only had like 10 games each. Got both of them for like $115. Does that answer your question?

WHEN YOU GET A TICKET FROM THE LOCAL COPS FOR PULLING AIRLINE BAGGAGE CARS BEHIND YOUR YUGO.

WHEN YOU FINALLY GET TO THE LANES AND THE LOAD SHIFTED AND YOU CAN NOT GET THE TAIL GATE DOWN ON THE TRAILER.

AND FINALLY...... WHEN YOU GET INSIDE WITH YOUR EQUIPMENT YOU FIND OUT THE LEAGUE HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO THE BAR BEING CLOSED.
