At our organizational meeting before the league begins I propose the following motion; All prize lists must include scratch and handicap awards and the awards must be equal, for men and women, and for the 1st, 2nd , 3rd places of various scratch and handicap awards including individual and teams.
The president was not at this meeting. The secretary ran the meeting and my motion was passed.
Now, 6 weeks in, the president says that the rules do not express equality, though they do mention scratch and handicap awards are a must.
He tells me that it is my issue to prove my motion and I argue that the secretary took lousy notes. I have 5 or 6 witnesses to attest to my motion at next weeks league meeting, he says that is not proof as 75 people were at the meeting.
What would you do?
